PANTALEON TUNTSANDE
RECOGNITION OF THE TEXAS MISSIONS
The legacy of the Native American artisans who built the missions, is still evident throughout the city of San Antonio today.
Spanish records, retained by my Pantaleon family, document that 1,033 Natives were baptised at the missions from 1716-1773
photo below ~ Mission Indians received rations of food and other necessities, but were responsible for preparing meals and performing household duties themselves.
